2023-2968 – Theft
Police investigated a theft that happened sometime overnight on May 22, 2023. Unknown thieves stole a motorcycle licence plate from a motorcycle parked on the street in the 39000 block of Government Rd., In addition, the bike’s fairings were damaged potentially by a hit and run or by vandalism.
2023-2970 – Collision
On May 29, 2023, at about 1:30 p.m., a cyclist and pickup truck driver had a collision in the 1800 block of Mamquam Rd. The cyclist sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention, and the pickup truck he made contact with resulted minor damage. Police continue following up on this matter.
2023-2919 – Assault with a weapon
On May 26, 2023, at about 7:40 p.m., two people were driving their cars and stopped alongside one another near Highway 99 and Garibaldi Way. The first driver sprayed an unknown substance, believed to be bear spray, at the second driver who had young people in the car with her. No injuries were reported from the incident. The two people have an ongoing dispute, and police continue looking into this matter.
2023-2901 et al – Trespass at night
During the very early hour of May 26, 2023, police received multiple reports of a man snooping through yards in the 40400 block of Thunderbird Ridge. Members located the man and arrested him for trespass at night and resisting arrest.
