Guilty verdict for homicide of Allen Skedden

A man has been found guilty in B.C. Supreme Court for the second-degree murder of Allen Skedden.

Background:

On March 2, 2017, just before 1:00 p.m. Richmond RCMP responded to the 22000 block of Fraserwood Way for a report of a found body. When police arrived, a deceased man was located with injuries. The man’s death was deemed suspicious, and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) took conduct of the investigation.

The deceased man was identified as 52-year-old, Allen William Skedden, a Delta resident. Mr. Skedden was last seen on February 21, 2017 and was reported as missing to the Delta Police Department that same day, at which time, an investigation was initiated.

On February 26, 2022, the BC Prosecution Service charged Adrianus Rosbergen, with second-degree murder in relation to the homicide of Mr. Skedden.

Update:

Following court proceedings, on December 10, 2024, a jury of the B.C. Supreme Court found Mr. Rosbergen guilty of the second-degree murder of Mr. Skedden.

As of the time of this release, no date has been set for a sentencing hearing.
