Witnesses wanted after serious MV collision

Police are looking for witnesses to a serious motor-vehicle collision on January 10th

Officers with the Richmond RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) are seeking the public’s help as they investigate a serious motor-vehicle collision that occurred on the afternoon of January 10, 2021.

At approximately 1415 hours that Sunday, a grey Toyota Tacoma pickup was entering onto Bridgeport Road from Sea Island Way when it collided with a Ford Escape that had been travelling eastbound on Bridgeport Road. Following the collision, the driver of the Ford Escape was transported to hospital but later succumbed to injuries.

At the time, the driver of the Toyota Tacoma remained on scene, and was cooperative with police.
