Richmond RCMP investigating fatal motor vehicle collision

Shortly before 12:30 p.m. on October 3, 2022, frontline Richmond RCMP officers responded to the area of Russ Baker Way and Inglis Drive for motor vehicle collision between an motorcycle and a transport bus. Despite the efforts of emergency personnel on scene, the operator of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased. The operator of the transport bus was not injured.

The Richmond RCMP CCIT (Criminal Collision Investigation Team) has assumed conduct of the investigation and has been assisted by the Lower Mainland ICARS (Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service).

Road closures around the area will be in effect as we investigate. Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
