Richmond RCMP launches proactive recruiting campaign aimed at identifying local potential applicants.

Like our country, the RCMP is a diverse organization that is always looking for quality recruits with diverse backgrounds, education and skill sets, says Chief Superintendent Dave Chauhan, Officer in Charge of Richmond RCMP. We know there are potential RCMP recruits living right here in Richmond. This campaign is aimed at increasing the accessibility of our recruiting process so that we can engage our community at a local level, says C/Supt. Chauhan.

The RCMP offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits and a robust pension program. We offer recruits the opportunity to engage with communities and truly make a difference locally, nationally and around the world. We also offer a wide variety of specialization opportunities. These include: Front-line policing, First Nations policing, Northern and Rural policing, Drugs, Organized, Financial and Major Crime Investigations, National Security and Integrated Border Enforcement, VIP Protective Services, Police Dog Services, Forensic Identification Services, Marine Services; Explosives Disposal, Tactical Troop, Emergency Response Team, International Peace Operations, and many more.

City of Richmond residents will see members of Richmond RCMP’s Community Engagement Team at many of our local community events over the next number of months, says C/Supt. Chauhan. If you are interested in becoming a police officer, don’t be shy. Stop by our tent and talk to our members. There has never been a better time to join the RCMP than now.

This fall, Richmond RCMP will also be hosting two career presentations. We encourage anyone interested in attending to click on the link below for the session you are interested in attending and register:
